This charming piece has an exotic flair, using harmonies that may be unfamiliar to beginning pianists. Voicing is simple, due to the simple accompaniment pattern in the left hand. However, students should still be sure to bring out the melodic line attentively. Good fingering is necessary for managing the constant shifts in hand position. In general, the dynamic level should remain muted.
