“Etude Espagnole” is well-suited for young pianists on the path to virtuosity. Technical challenges include repeated notes, fast scales in a variety of keys, and occasional arpeggios. Dynamics, accents, detailed pedaling, and fiery rhythms also play important roles. The tempo needs to be fast and passionate.
