==Written in ¾ time, this bright and cheery invention in F Major is one of Bach’s easiest inventions. The rhythms are clear and simple. Running sixteenth notes alternating between hands and occasional parallel motion permeate this two-voice contrapuntal work. This is an ideal introduction to Bach’s other inventions and eventually three and four part fugues, which all contain a subject and imitation. This piece requires developed finger dexterity and contains some passages of difficult finger work. It also offers opportunities for making choices regarding voicing and terraced dynamics. ==
