This dazzling piece certainly captures the brilliance of an upbeat dance. Students will be fully occupied with the constant stream of eighth notes, which mostly occur in the right hand. Following the vivace tempo marking is imperative for conveying the lively character. Students should pay close attention to the pedaling, articulation, and frequent accent marks. This is a good piece for young pianists with a virtuosic flair.
